Derron Sandy is a Trinbagonian spoken-word poet, playwright, director, and creative educator. He holds an MA in Literatures in English from UWI St. Augustine and is currently pursuing PhD studies via the MPhil pathway. He is the author of A Story of Hope (2020) and The Chaos (2023), co-founder of an annual dynamic poetry showcase and schools festival, founder of a performance based NGO -The Quays Foundation, and winner of the 2021 National Poetry Slam of Trinidad and Tobago.
